Sukanta Das (b Kolkata, 1973)

Sukanta Das completed his BVA from the Rabindra Bharati Universityl (1996). He was awarded the National Scholarship in Art from the Govt of lndia in l996. Sukanta uses conti and charcoal to create his dreamy feminine figures. Sukanta Das has held many solo exhibitions in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and group shows at Gajah Gallery, Singapore Contemporary Art of lndia at Jakarta, Chuwa gallery Tokyo, Japan, Jainul Gallery, Dhaka, Bangladesh, French consulate Delhi, (l997). His works are in several private and corporate collections in India and abroad.
